Light your creative fire and come and write with me!
You are such a generous teacher, it’s a total pleasure to be stretched by you.
What people have said:
I’ve discovered a new voice that I didn’t even know I could write in. Inspirational.
I’m coming away with so much potential new work.
I feel like it’s been much longer than a day, I’ve travelled a long way inside myself and with words.
‘We all think we’re the exception, don’t we? The one who will win the Bridport Prize with their first entry. I desperately wanted to be published but I was doing absolutely nothing to make it happen until that lightbulb moment at Sarah’s workshop. My goal became 200 rejections. I failed, I’m 20 short because I’ve just celebrated my twentieth published poem.’ JW.
June 24 – 10-4pm at University of Kent, Tonbridge Centre.
This is the fourth time I have run this one-day course looking at the opportunities, methods, and challenges of getting your short fiction and poetry published. Students who have attended the previous courses have been getting their work in magazines, on websites, winning prizes and shortlistings in competitions and – most of all – learning more about their own writing. For more information, and to book, click here.
Two day courses in Tunbridge Wells:
And now for something different: here are two day courses I’m running from my home in the middle of Tunbridge Wells. We’ll sit round my dining table and let the world drift away as we concentrate on our own writing for a change! You can book separately or together. If you don’t live in Kent, why not use it as an excuse to visit Tunbridge Wells and stay overnight in one of the lovely hotels we have here. Treat yourself! Gift tokens for the writing days are also available. Email me for more information (email@example.com) , and remember, because this is in my home, numbers are limited.

Please note sessions are suitable for both beginners (explorers!) in both yoga and/or writing.
Anna, the founder of Freestyle Yoga Project, and I have worked together for some time now, devising our own mixture of gentle yoga sequences and creative journal writing for wellbeing aimed at opening ourselves up for inspiration and learning to listen out for own voices. These sessions have already received some rave reviews! The writing sessions normally take place on Saturdays and can be taken together with the existing popular Mellow Yellow sessions from 1-2pm for a real afternoon of exploration and indulgence, or separately. Email me (firstname.lastname@example.org) or the Freestyle Yoga Project (email@example.com) to be put on our mailing lists.
